Minehead’s Great Treasure: The Missal of Richard Fitzjames

On the illuminated fifteenth-century service book on display in St Michael’s church in Minehead. The missal carries the signature of Richard Fitzjames as Bishop of London (1506-1522). Fitzjames had previously been the vicar of St. Michael’s, Minehead (1485-1497), and the missal was purchased for the church at auction in 1949.
