His Life & Death
Richard was born at Fotheringhay in Northamptonshire on 2nd October 1452 and died on the battlefield of Bosworth in Leicestershire on 22nd August 1485. The youngest son of Richard, Duke of York and Cecily Neville, Duchess of York, he was created Duke of Gloucester by his brother Edward IV, and became King in 1483. Just 32 when he died, Richard lived an eventful life.
