The September edition of the Bulletin kicks off with a fascinating exploration of Ricardian Nottingham – the venue of the inaugural Richard III Convention which takes place at the end of September.

As well as investigating the Yorkist and Ricardian history of the city, this jam-packed Bulletin brings you an exclusive interview with the historian Alice Loxton who talks about her new book – A History of Britain in 21 Paintings – as well as giving us her thoughts on King Richard III.

Next we step back in time to explore the medieval soap opera of the life of Richard III’s doctor, Walter Lempster and his family. We also revisit the exploits of one of the high-profile early supporters of the last Plantagenet King – Philip Lindsay, the Australian, born 120 years ago, who stood up for Richard III. He’s the latest in our Ricardian Greats series.

In this edition we also take a long, hard look at Richard III’s place in the world today – if not Shakespeare’s villain then what? And what still needs to be done to convince the world at large?
